Thompson set to leave Resolution

Resolution Asset Management UK property fund manager Sandy Thompson has quit the firm.

Thompson has worked for the company since September 2005 and took over the £660.4m fund from property team head John Wilson in July 2006.

He will leave the company on August 1, with Wilson set to revert back to his role as manager of the fund, having previously managed the vehicle from launch in December 2004. It is not yet known if Thompson has lined up another role.

Head of sales and marketing Jonathan Polin says: “John is a very accomplished manager with some 26 years of property management experience. The management of property assets and funds is significantly different to the management of an equity fund and there will be no material change to the strategy or running of the fund. Sandy has not advised us of his plans but we would like to take this opportunity to thank him for his service and to wish him well in the future.”
