Thinc Group in multi-tie deal with Pru & Just Retirement

Thinc Group is launching an annuity desk in conjunction with Prudential and Just Retirement in a multi-tie deal.

The annuity desk will be managed by Thinc Group staff and will be based at Thinc’s Telford office.

The group says it is launching the desk at a time when the individual retirement income market is growing year on year and the need for advice and desire for alternative methods of retirement planning is on the rise.

Thinc Group chief executive Simon Chamberlain says: “This is an exciting opportunity and one which further enhances Thinc’s client proposition. Bringing
together the immense experience of Prudential, Just Retirement and Thinc adds real value to our existing and future market base.

“I am delighted to be working with Prudential and Just Retirement on this venture; our partnership with two of the most respected names within the financial services field is a powerful endorsement of Thinc’s continued development and proposition.”

Prudential managing director, retail life and pensions Gary Shaughnessy says: “The launch of the Thinc annuity desk is great news for us and we are delighted to have been chosen to quote for this business. It’s further recognition of our strength in a competitive marketplace and we intend to continue work closely with Thinc’s advisers to ensure that it is successful and used to its full potential.”

Just Retirement CEO Mike Fuller says: “Just Retirement is delighted to be working with Thinc, one of the premier advice brands in the IFA market. Thinc have recognised the important opportunity to help their advisors treat their customers fairly by ensuring that retirees secure a higher income appropriate to their circumstances at a critical point of their lives. We very much look forward to building business together.”
