Thesis Asset Management is targeting IFAs for the first time with the launch of a new portfolio management service.
The Cathedral service offers a multi-manager approach where portfolios can be invested in a range of unit trusts, investment trusts, Oeics and offshore funds from a number of fund managers. It also offers self-invested personal pensions, trusts, Peps, Isas and offshore insurance bonds.
Investors can choose between five portfolios within three bands of risk, depending on their tax circumstances and investment requirements. The risk categories include income, balanced and growth options. Each portfolio is reviewed continually by the Thesis team who monitor underlying investments and make changes necessary to maintain performance.
The service offers 4.5 per cent initial and 0.8 per cent renewal commission. Initial charge is 5 per cent and annual 1.5 per cent. Minimum investment is £10,000. Advisers can download application forms and factsheets from the Thesis website.
Thesis is the investment management arm of solicitors Thomas Eggar Church Adams and has £600m under management.
Fund manager Paul Higginbotham says: “It is the first time we are targeting IFAs. We hope the Cathedral service will provide them with higher revenue returns following a better, more comprehensive service for their clients.”
