The Platforum hires new head of content

The Platforum’s managing director Holly Mackay at this year’s conference.

The Platforum has hired Daniel Grote to the newly created position of head of content.

Grote, who will take on the role in January, is currently an editor at publishing company Citywire and will be focusing on growing the research consultancy’s adviser platform content.

The Platforum forms part of Centaur Media’s financial portfolio which also includes Money Marketing, TaxbriefsMortgage Strategy, Fund Strategy, Fundweb and Corporate Adviser

The Platforum managing director Holly Mackay says: “We’ve been analysing platforms and adviser behaviour since 2007 and whilst our core research and insights get better and better, we’re not always as good as we could be at sharing our insights with advisers and providers.

”As consumers’ appetite for information becomes more digital, multi-channel and immediate, we want to combine learnings from publishing businesses and research businesses and blend the two to produce timely, relevant commentary to our customers and readers.”

Grote says: “As a journalist I found the platform and adviser market fascinating to cover. I’m looking forward to helping The Platforum deliver its knowledge more effectively in today’s fast-changing, digital environment.”
