The green house effect

The Ethical Investment Association is holding a seminar with the theme of Property and Land, the Ethical Way. Being held in Birmingham on December 1, the seminar will look at alternatives to equities and sociallyand environmentally-responsible ways of borrowing to finance house purchases.

Speakers will include John Fleetwood of Philips Securities, discussing a new discretionary fund management service available to IFA clients, and Ian Hook of Quadris Environmental Investments, who will talk about the GoodWood fixed-rate shares fund.

The responsible lending sessions will feature Standard Life Investments investment director Angela Burns, Norwich & Peterborough&#39s Scott Taylor-Barr and Co-op Bank&#39s Steve Winfield. Those interested in attending should contact 0207 440 9717.
