The good Sipp

Will regulation have passed like a Sipp in the night by the time you read this? The Sipp market is now regulated and providers and advisers alike will feel the scrutiny of the FSA.

There is an issue with Sipp providers which have missed the regulation deadline and a need for FSA clarity on how advisers transfer their clients. Some have misgivings about Sipps overcharging or being recommended to clients who do not need the investment freedom or at least not yet.

Money Marketing is going to side with the optimists and hope that regulation gets rid of any bad side and brings about a great deal of healthy competition for advisers and their clients helping them make effective pension planning decisions.
