The Exchange launches equity release referral service

The Exchange is launching Fintal Exweb, a new equity release referral service designed to reduce the risk and cost in the first stages of the equity release advisory process.

Fintal Exweb was developed in partnership with Ferret Information Systems, a European specialist in benefits advice software.

It uses a specialist referral service which allows advisers to consult experts on benefits, grants and tax advice, prior to client recommendations.

It will be available on a pay-as-you-go basis for £39 excluding Vat.

The Exchange managing director David Child says: “The launch of this new service, as with most of The Exchange’s developments, is based largely on market feedback from our adviser users. With the launch of Exweb Fintal, intermediaries will not only be able to research, quote and source equity release products but also look at more detailed information, such as a clients’ eligibility for state benefits, local authority grants and taxation – which really helps to support advisers in ensuring clients are given the best quality service possible.”

Gareth Morgan, managing director, Ferret Information Systems comments:
“Exweb Fintal not only identifies the potential impact of equity release products for advisers and their clients, but also highlights unclaimed benefits, such as pension credits. This is clearly a win win for advisers”.

We are all used to MVRs, leading to a reduction in a transfer requested prior to the normal retirement age. Most providers accept that if a client stays […]

The curious market reaction to Brexit

Written by Mike Riddell29 June 2016 Headlines over the past few days have screamed about record falls in sterling, record low bond yields and massive falls in equity prices. However, if you take a slightly longer view of markets rather than simply the one- or two-day reaction, I think it’s amazing how little markets have […]
