The Darling of our office party

When consulting some former Money Marketing stalwarts, the Diary was pleased to be told that the newish Chancellor Alistair Darling is the only person to have held such high office to have also attended the Money Marketing Christmas party, at the time held on the Hispaniola on the Thames.

Whatever his merits or demerits, it means that we will probably have to support Darling if he is ever in the running for the highest office.

Some readers might think heaven help the country but then Money Marketing will be able to claim the first Prime Minister to have attended their party. Roll on, Alistair’s bandwagon.
