Investec Asset Management is offering a

1 per cent discount on five sub-funds within its global strategy umbrella. The US dollar high-income bond, sterling high-income bond, continental European, global privatisation and Hong Kong equity funds will have an initial charge of 4 per cent until May 31.

Close Finsbury is offering a 1 per cent discount on its UK equity fund until May 31. The discount reduces the initial charge to 3.5 per cent. Minimum investment is £2,500.

LeggMason Investors has appointed Paul Boughton as managing director of mutual funds. He joins from Bonfield Asset Management where he has been head of global marketing for the past year. Previously, he was at Schroders for 11 years.

Credit Suisse Asset Management is to offer a range of multi-manager products later this year. The move follows its appointment of Rothschild Asset Management&#39s multi-manager team. Gary Potter, Rob Burdett and Kelly Prior join CSAM in June.

Baring Asset Management is offering a 1 per cent discount on its UK smaller companies fund until April 30. It reduces the initial charge to 4 per cent.
