Thames River makes changes to European and credit teams

A number of hires at Thames Rivers has resulted in management changes across its European and credit desks.

Stephen Drew and Simon Ulcickas have joined the global credit team to work with Bernt Tallaksen and Mehrdad Noorani.

Drew joins from Tudor Capital and will co-manage the High Income and Hillside Apex funds.

Ulcickas is from JP Morgan and has been recruited as fund manager.

On the European desk, James van den Bergh has been appointed to co-manage the Kingsway fund alongside Jeff Thomson, who has been at Thames River since 2003, and managed the Argentum fund since 2007.

Carlos Mareno from Fidelity Investments has also joined as manager of the European fund with Tony Zucker. At Fidelity, he assisted in the running of the European Growth and UK Growth funds and managed institutional money.


Grinstead becomes Metlife MD

Metlife has made its UK chief executive officer Ed Gardner redundant and promoted Dominic Grinstead, previously strategic development and marketing director, to UK managing director.
