Thames River Capital bolsters European team

Thames River Capital has appointed Trygve Tøraasen as a fund manager on its European Equities team.

Tøraasen will manage the Thames River European fund alongside Carlos Moreno. He previously worked with Fidelity Investments for 14 years, where he managed the FMR Europe fund from 2006 to 2008 and the European dynamic growth fund from 2001to 2008.

He was also lead manager of the Fidelity Nordic and FMR Nordic Funds.

Tøraasen’s appointment comes after Thames River hired Moreno, James van den Bergh and Omer Tore to the European Equities team in June.

Thames River Capital chief executive Charlie Porter says: “Thames River is defined by the high calibre of fund managers working within the company; the strength of our teams and our diverse product range means that we have continued to see excellent inflows across the business.

“Our corporate success and growing reputation as an exciting and dynamic environment in which to work has enabled us to attract the most able investment professionals and we remain committed to investing in new talent. Trygve joins a highly experienced European equities team which will in turn benefit from his complementary skill set.”
