Credit Suisse Asset Management, ABN Amro and SG Asset Management are teaming up for a series of Isa season roadshows in January and February. The three groups will visit 16 venues around the country, starting in Nottingham on January 22 and ending in Tunbridge Wells on February 28. Speakers will include CSAM star income manager Bill Mott, ABN Amro star UK growth manager Nigel Thomas and SGAM joint chief executive officer Nicola Horlick.

New Star Asset Management is aiming to raise £25m through a share issue in preparation for an acquisition drive. The new shares will be made available at £150 a share to all shareholders who subscribed at £80 a share during the original private placing in April.

Franklin Templeton Investments is offering five new funds to the UK retail market as part of a new Dublin-based umbrella. The five funds – Franklin US equity, mutual shares II, Templeton EuroMarket growth, Franklin Japan and Franklin sterling corporate bond – are all replicas of existing Franklin Templeton Sicav funds or US funds.

The alliance and second alliance investment trusts have app-ointed Helen Weir as investor communications manager. Weir, 29, has more than seven years&#39 experience in the financial service industry, including six years at Brewin Dolphin,where she trained as a private-client stockbroker. She will be responsible for communications with the trusts&#39 investors, stockbrokers and IFAs.
