Six winners will each receive a hospitality day for themselves and their chosen guest.Skandia Life Assurance Company Limited is providing six prizes consisting of a day’s hospitality on the yacht Skandia (or other yacht as notified) from 10.30am to 4.30pm on July 21, 2005, leaving from Ocean Village, Southampton, or such other start location as notified. Skandia will notify the winner of any such change. In the event that the Skandia is unavailable for the day’s hospitality, an alternative racing yacht will be chartered. The winners will be responsible for transport to and from the start location. Participants will be disqualified from sailing if Skandia or the yacht’s skipper deems them to be unfit to sail for any reason, which includes but is not limited to being under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Individual participants are responsible for disclosing to the skipper of the yacht any medical ailment or medical ongoing treatment that could put them at risk while onboard the yacht. Winners and their guests are requested to bring suitable clothing to allow for the unpredictable English weather and often cool breeze while out on the water. Wet weather gear will be provided. The winner should bring suitable footwear with non-marking soles such as trainers or deck shoes. Formal footwear such as formal shoes or high heels is unacceptable. Prior to joining the yacht, all competition winners must sign an indemnity form. Skandia reserves the right to cancel or postpone the day’s hospitality should sailing conditions be deemed unsafe for hospitality by the skipper of the yacht, in which case the winner will be notified by Skandia. Skandia will make all efforts to rearrange for another day. If it is not possible for any reason to organise a new date within seven days, then Skandia reserves the right to withdraw the prize. By entering the prize draw, participants agree to take part in any publicity relating to the prize draw if invited to do so and without further compensation. No cash equivalent is available and the prize is non-transferable. To the fullest extent that may be excluded by the law, Skandia accepts no responsibility for or liability arising from participants taking part in the prize draw. All activities are undertaken at the participant’s own risk. The promoter of the competition is Money Marketing Limited. These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of England.
