Tennis champ Cash serves up Misys deal

Misys has set up its new m-link e-commerce service for IFAs with former

Wimbledon champion Pat Cash completing the first transaction with an

investment bond presented to a charity.

The service provides IFAs with quotes and company-specific quotations and

allows business to be conducted electronically across a range of life and

pension products.

The launch was marked with the first electronic new business transaction,

an Axa Sun Life flexible bond worth £5,000, which was donated to Goal,

a charity aimed at aiding the poor throughout the world.

The system has been tes-ted for several months with IFAs and providers.

Axa is the first company which can complete transactions electronicallyvia

m-link. Misys says it isideally positioned to develop such a service

because ofits experience of retail financial services and e-commerce

activities through its general insurance internet portal.

Sun Life and Provincial Holdings chairman Lord Douro says: “Axa was among

the first to embrace e-commerce. Our involvement with m-link demonstrates

we are serious about bringing new technological benefits to the life and

pension industry and ultimately long-term rewards for IFAs and their
