Tenet takes ethical road

IFA network group Tenet is running a campaign to help its members in the socially responsible investment sector.

SRI is the fastest-growing UK investment sector. Legislation introduced recently requires trustees to disclose the extent to which they consider environment, social and environmental factors when managing their scheme.

Tenet claims there has been increasing demand for socially responsible funds in product areas such as stakeholder and the campaign aims to help members make the most of the opportunities in the market.

Initial research by Tenet indicated there was a significant interest among its members in SRI. It has designed a section on its extranet, is organising a series of roadshows and producing marketing materials.

There will be 11 roadshows in September throughout the country to enable members to tap the knowledge of experts to back up the information distributed to them by Tenet.

Director of group marketing Alison Dootson says: “Some of our members are already active in this field and want to build on their knowledge. For others, it is a new opportunity.

“This is just one of a number of campaigns we run to help members develop their business in certain market areas. Other campaigns have included Pep transfers and Isas which have increased business level for members with minimal effort on their behalf.”

Change brings opportunity
