Teamspirit launches PR business

Financial services specialist marketing agency Teamspirit has launched a new public relations business.

Teamspirit PR will focus on getting personal finance brands beyond the money pages into the news media, including online, TV and radio.

The division will be headed up by former deputy managing director at Teamspirit’s sister company QBO Bell Pottinger, Jo Carr who says that only around 20 per cent of people read the money sections in national newspapers and she hopes to expand the reach of her clients by hitting other influencers outside the financial services industry.

The agency is already working with motor insurer Sheilas’ Wheels, property investment group Inside Track and Chesham Building Society.

Carr says: “Personal finance is an emotive and compelling platform. We can now combine Teamspirits market and sector expertise with an ability to generate human-interest stories that resonate with our audiences.

Teamspirit has also recently appointed Alan Kittle as the new creative director in its Edinburgh office. Kittle joins from WWAV Rapp Collins where he was senior art director and will work primarily on the Scottish Widows account.
