T&C toolkit to aid IFAs

The Financial Services National Training Organisation will be offering a training and competence toolkit to IFAs from next month.

The kit is a joint Government and employer initiative developed by financial services trade bodies Aifa, Autif, the Chartered Insurance Institute, the Institute of Financial Planning, the Institute for Fiscal Studies, the LIA, Limra, Sofa, the Solicitors for Independent Financial Advice and the IFA Life Office Group of ABI life offices.

The kit includes examples to help advisers meet T&C standards. The FSNTO says the kit is easy to use and will help businesses, especially smaller firms, refine their procedures.

Members can get the kit free on the FSNTO website at www.fsnto.org.

Non-members can buy it for £25. A paper version is available for £35. Other toolkits available from the FSNTO include regulated products (banks and building societies), life and pension administration and general insurance.
