Targeting decision-makers

Money Marketing this week launches a major new initiative aimed at every

firm in the UK employing more than 10 people to help IFAs capitalise on the

opportunities in the stakeholder pension market in the run-up to the

October deadline.

Thousands of businesses have yet to seek advice on stakeholder –

prospective business that could come to your firm. That is why we have

teamed up with our sister publication Employee Benefits – and sponsors

Royal & Sun Alliance and Legal & General – to offer you the chance to be

involved at a local level with a national campaign to raise stakeholder

pension awareness.

Employee Benefits is the only magazine written exclusively for the

employee benefits decision-makers in firms – the people who have to make

the decisions on stakeholder.

Next month, Employee Benefits will publish a special guide which will be

sent to the 100,000 businesses in the UK employing more than 10 people, the

key market for stakeholder.

The 16-page magazine is an independent step-by-step guide to what

stakeholder means to them – and what decisions they need to take. It makes

it clear that most firms will need advice.

Throughout the magazine, employee benefits decision-makers are encouraged

to log on to the Employee Benefits website – employeebenefits.co.UK. Here

they can follow a simple decision tree designed to highlight the issues

that their business faces in relation to stakeholder.

At the end of this process, they will understand that they are likely to

need advice so alongside the decision tree we will be offering a unique

stakeholder IFA locator service. Firms key in their postcode and will

immediately be given a list of the 10 nearest IFAs willing to give

stakeholder advice.

For just £120 (including VAT), you can ensure that your IFA firm will

appear in this local listing for the next year.

You will benefit from the extensive promotion of the guide to the UK&#39s key

100,000 businesses, including advertising throughout September in the Mail

on Sunday, the paper that small to medium-sized businesses are most likely

to read.

All you have to do is fill out the form (left) and fax or mail it back to

us and we will ensure your firm&#39s details are added to our IFA locator

directory for the initiative&#39s launch early next month. We will invoice you

later.

We expect demand to be high so, to ensure that your firm is listed from

the start of the campaign, please respond now. The guides will be sent out

in the second week of September.

Employee Benefits editor Debi O&#39Donovan says: “The deadline of 8 October

is looming – and all employees must have access to a stakeholder pension

plan by then. But if employers are still in the dark or haven&#39t got round

to organising one, we are telling them not to worry, there&#39s still time.

“Our supplement explains everything they need to know about implementing a

scheme, from selecting the best package for their employees, to sorting out

the paperwork and payments and tying up the tax and legal issues. It&#39s

packed with all the facts to make stakeholder work for them.”

The stakeholder campaign is just the first in what we hope will be a

series of joint initiatives between Money Marketing and Employee Benefits

magazine designed to give you a low-cost marketing route to local firms

looking for employee benefits advice.
