Synaptic offers ethical guide

Synaptic Systems is offering a free guide for advisers on ethical and socially respon-sible investments in association with Friends Provident.

The IFA software provider says the guide includes the first online video portal to promote asset managers and products with an ethical investment discipline enab-ling advisers to access fund manager interviews from Asset.TV.

Synaptic says it hopes to address the common perception that ethical funds are often outperformed by their non-ethical counterparts.

The guide is the first issue following an overhaul of the firm’s quarterly magazine, mailed to all 10,000 Synap- tic users and available on its website. The UK Social Investment Forum’s toolkit for financial advisers is also included.

Synaptic Systems chief executive Selwyn Herring says: “We are working closely with our strategic partners to continue to provide ind-ispensable training mater- ials on the latest industry developments.”

Asset.TV managing director Craig Walton says: “We have been able to bring to life a number of complex issues in a way only possible in a TV format. Asset.TV viewers demand concise and relevant information without the spin, which is precisely what Ethical TV delivers.”
