Synaptic offering web deal for IFAs

Synaptic Systems is setting up a new website building service for IFAs

with online quotes and the ability to transact business.

IFAs can build sites with transactional capabilities and a number of tools

to service existing clients and attract new business.

Synaptic websites include financial guides, calculators, product guides,

decision trees, a jargon buster and product research. They also have quotes

for level term insurance and mortgage protection to help IFA clients make

informed product choices.

IFAs can build their site from a range of components and can choose from

more than 50 graphical themes. Registered users to the site can build their

own home page. The sites also have an admin area which lets IFAs to submit

their site to search engines, view graphs of site usage and get compliance


Online Isa and unit trust dealing, general insurance quotes and new

business applications are in development. The service costs £149 a

month in the first year and £200 a month the following year.

Managing director Selwyn Herring says: “In the simplest terms, we are

providing a ready-made business in a box. Ongoing dev- elopment will

continue to add passive revenue streams to a business solution which

heralds a new era in the service that IFAs can deliver to their clients.”
