Swiss Life links up with IFAP

Swiss Life is teaming up with IFAP to launch a bespoke Find an IFA service on its website aimed at consumers and businesses seeking local independent advice across a range of financial products.

The new online directory carries details of over 10,000 IFAP member firms across the UK and allows users to find their nearest IFA with matching selection criteria.

A selection can be made across 17 generic product areas, including group pensions and protection. Users can state how they would prefer to pay for advice they receive or deal with an execution-only adviser.

Once a selection has been made, the online search delivers the six closest IFAP members with matching criteria.

Swiss Life says the integration of the Find an IFA service onto its site is important as it supports its philosophy that customers should be recommended to buy its products by someone who can offer expert financial advice.

IFAP chief executive David Elms says: “We are delighted with our new partnership with Swiss Life. IFAP has handled over 200,000 requests for details of local IFAs so far this year.

“Seventy per cent of these have been handled online, either directly via or one of our co-branded third party websites.

“By working with IFAP&#39s sponsors in this way we can continue to make sure all our member IFAs&#39 details are seen by as wide an audience as possible.”
