SWIP sets off musical chairs across multi-manager offerings

SWIP has poached Cazenove’s five strong multi-manager team as it bids to widen its investment offering.

Mark Harries is to take on the role of head of multi-manager, while Simon Wood, Lyndon Gill, Natalie Burnard and Andrew Perham join as investment directors.

The group will look to launch two fund of funds upon the arrival of the team, who will join with SWIP’s existing Fund Selection Team of Hamish Campbell, Paul Tompsett and Ian Barker.

Meanwhile, Cazenove has moved quickly to fill the void by appointing Marcus Brookes from Gartmore, who is set to join as director and head of the multi-manager team.

Brookes will join Cazenove upon completion of his contract in March 2008, while Robin McDonald is set to arrive from Gartmore next month as joint manager on Cazenove’s quartet of multi-manager vehicles.
