Following a multi-manager ratings meeting in April, it is awarding SWIP multi-manager diversity fund and SWIP multi-manager select boutiques with an A-rating.
The diversity fund has an absolute return performance objective and Is broadly structured around an asset allocation of one third each in equities, fixed income and alternative investments.
Select boutiques is an equity fund invested with experienced managers who are thought to be better equipped to protect investors’ capital in difficult market conditions. Mark Harries manages both funds with the help of Simon Wood.
OBSR is also withdrawing the A-rating of the Insight investment UK dynamic managed fund. The multi-manager team at Insight, now called Multi-Asset Group has closed a number of its region-specific funds in recent months and is now focusing on the range of ‘diversified’ funds which are multi-asset in nature and have absolute return targets.
OBSR says: “We’d like to emphasise that OBSR has a great deal of respect for this team, and we continue to rate other funds in the group.”
