SWIP appoints Maddock from Axa

Swip has appointed Tony Maddock as head of retail sales after Maddock resigned last week from Axa following the firm’s takeover of Framlington.

Maddock will lead Swip’s new specialist retail team to support direct distribution to the IFA market. He will report to head of distribution Simon Wombwell and be based in London.

Wombwell says: “2006 is going to be an important year for Swip as we expand our fund offering into the retail market. Tony’s experience of providing first class service propositions to the IFA community brings significant strength to our retail team and underlines our commitment to the IFA market.”
