SWIP appoints investment director UK retail equities

Scottish Widows Investment Partnership has appointed Peter Cockburn as investment director of UK equities retail.

He will join in October and be responsible for a number of SWIP&#39s retail funds. He will report to recently appointed head of UK Equities Robert Waugh.

Cockburn is currently Investment Manager – UK equities at EFM where he covers construction, chemicals, mining and technology sectors as well smaller companies support services and media.

SWIP&#39s chief investment officer, Graham Wood says: “Its a pleasure to welcome Peter to SWIP. His skills will further strengthen our research based UK equities team”.
