Smith & Williamson is to launch a global government bond fund for manager Chris Lynas.
The fund has been described as a “hybrid” fund, and will invest in index-linked and conventional government bonds.
The new launch, which is subject to regulatory approval, will also be able to allocate up to 20 per cent of the portfolio to corporate bonds.
The Dublin-domiciled fund will be benchmarked against the FTSE UK Gilts All Stocks index and will have a £1,000 minimum investment.
It will carry no initial fee and have a 1 per cent annual management charge.
