Sun Life Direct hires ex-Aviva distribution director as MD

Sun Life Direct has appointed former Aviva distribution development director Dean Lamble as its managing director.

Sun Life’s previous managing director, Mark Howes, is taking on overall responsibility for parent company Axa’s direct life and health protection business. Howes will oversee the Sun Life Direct, Health-on-Line and Axa PPP brands.

Managing director of protection Mark Howes says: “Dean brings with him tremendous drive and strategic vision and will be a great asset to the business. I am looking forward to us working together and furthering the success of the business.”

Sun Life managing director Dean Lamble says: “Sun Life Direct is a market leader. I am delighted to be joining such a strong business.”

Lamble left Aviva in March. He has previously been head of strategy at the provider, and also spent 10 years at Hewlett Packard in strategic and marketing roles.
