Sumus to offer Defaqto Aequos Engage

Sumus has signed a contract with Defaqto’s to offer its Aequos Engage product search and selection tool to all members following a detailed review of the market.

The system will fully integrate with Sumus’ front office, providing portal suppliers and affiliated businesses with a seamless business process.

Aequos Engage will be used by IFAs, covering pension, protection and investment products. It can be used online or downloaded for use at remote locations.

Defaqto national accounts manager Roger Perry says: “We are naturally very pleased to be selected as one of Sumus’ preferred suppliers and look forward to working closely with member firms. Aequos Engage has proved itself to be extremely effective in assisting IFAs to identify the right products for their customers and in providing the necessary compliance documentation”.

Sumus head of group development Steve Gazard says: “Engage will form an integral part of our ‘Preferred Technology Initiative’ in 2007. We have spent many months researching the providers and are delighted with the deal we have put together with Defaqto.”
