Strategy role at Skandia for Cracknell

Origen’s Michelle Cracknell is joining Skandia as its new strategy director.

She will head a dedicated strategy team covering all Skandia’s businesses, with her brief to ensure that the company is well positioned to benefit from regulatory and market-driven developments.

Skandia says her function is key to enabling it to continue building its UK and offshore business.

Cracknell was a main board director at Origen and a leading pension commentator.

Skandia chief executive Nick Poyntz-Wright says: “I am delighted Michelle is joining us as she has a wealth of experience and knowledge that is ideally suited to this challenging role. Our aim is to be the leader in open architecture and investment solutions across all the markets in which we operate.

“We need to ensure our strategy is in line with market forces, including the impact of new and proposed regulations such as the retail distribution review. We are in a dynamic marketplace and it is quality strategic planning that will ensure we remain in front of our competitors.”
