Ageas head of marketing Andy Milburn will leave the protection provider in September.

Milburn will be replaced by Friends Life head of marketing and intermediary proposition development Steve Casey.

Milburn says: “It was initially planned that I would spend six months at Ageas but I have ended up staying for 15 months. I have helped them out and they understand a lot more about what the marketing team needs to look like going forward.

“Steve Casey will do a great job and I wish him all the best.”

Milburn says he has not yet secured a role at another company.

A Friends Life spokesman says the firm has not decided whether to recruit a replacement for Casey.

Highclere Financial Services partner Alan Lakey says: “When he was at Bupa Steve Casey dragged them from being a small player to being the top critical illness provider in terms of quality.

“He has always put the customer at the forefront of the changes he wants to make and this will make him an asset to Ageas.”
