Stanic has been with Newton since 1999 and runs the BNY Mellon global equity fund which he launched in 2005. He also heads up the firm’s global intrepid fund.
R&M was founded in 2006 and has raised assets in excess of £1bn in the first 24 months of trading.
The firm has highlighted the global equities division as the next stage of its development and intends to develop a range of strategies consistent with the River and Mercantile global equity investment philosophy and process.
