Standard sells Isas through website

Standard Life Investments has enhanced its website to allow new and existing customers to buy Isas and monitor their fund performance online.
The company is hoping to give investors greater control over their investments.
Customers can use a debit card to buy a Standard Life Investments Isa on the website.
Once they have gone through a registration process, they can monitor their investments and access the online buying facility between 8am and 11pm on weekdays and 8am and 8pm at weekends.
Managing director of mutual funds Alan Burton says: “We understand a growing number of people want to deal with us over the internet and they want to be able to keep up with their investments at their convenience. The website employs the latest technology to ensure a secure environment for customers, allowing them to keep track of their investments safe in the knowledge that only they can access their account. With the tax year end approaching, this is an ideal way to invest in a Standard Life Isa.”
