Standard & Poor&#39s Micropal Top 10&#39s

Merrill Lynch Investment Managers&#39 gold & general fund has toppled Govett US Bear off the top of the unit trust league tables after several months in the number one spot. The MLIM fund has returned 24.59 per cent over the past 12 months, compared with the average unit trust return of -19.4 per cent. The remainder of the unit top 10 consists predominantly of income and corporate bond funds.

On insurance funds, property funds continue to dominate, with Allied Dunbar&#39s American Property fund now top.
