Standard Life strengthens pensions team

Standard Life has appointed Andy Tully as marketing technical manager, reporting to head of pensions policy John Lawson.

His primary role will be the analysis and communication of pension regulation, legislation and taxation.

He will also assume an external communications role on pensions issues with financial advisers, policy makers and the media.

Tully was formerly technical development manager at Scottish Equitable where he managed a team of pensions technical staff. Prior to that he worked at Standard Life from 1986 to 1999, mainly in a technical role.

Lawson says: “Andy, who has enormous pensions expertise, will be a valuable pair of hands in helping us to influence pensions policy. It is great to have him back at Standard Life.”
