Standard Life poaches Bankhall’s David Scott to lead distribution development

Standard Life has appointed ex-Bankhall operations and IT director David Scott as its head of distribution development.

Earlier this month, Money Marketing revealed Scott was leaving Bankhall to pursue other opportunities.

In his new position at Standard Life he oversee the insurer’s developments in e-commerce.

Scott will be based in Edinburgh and report to distribution strategy director Stephen Ingledew.

Managing director of distribution Paul Matthews says: “Scott brings with him over 20 years experience working in financial services, with a strong track record of delivery of enhanced infrastructure, IT change and business projects.

“He has built up experience working for both providers and more recently with an IFA business so I am delighted he can join us at a time when we need to continue to develop our capability to meet the opportunities of a changing distribution landscape.”

SMEs can profit from loss

New rules allowing small businesses to carry back losses for three years rather than one year are a good opportunity for firms to boost their group pension schemes.
