Standard Life Investments has launched a new European equity income fund.

The fund, which will be managed by Will James, targets a yield of 115 per cent of that on the FTSE Europe ex UK index together with potential for capital appreciation over the longer-term.

James joined the European team at Standard Life Investments as an investment Director in 2007 after working at Adam Investment Management for five years.

Standard Life Investments head of mutual & life fund investments Jacqueline Kerr says: “This fund has been launched in response to increased demand from UK investors seeking access to the diversity of equity income from outside the UK.”
