Standard Life has today launched its AGM website which includes the annual report 2006, corporate responsibility report and remuneration report.
The website has been launched ahead of the life office’s AGM which is scheduled for May 29.
The remuneration report shows that Group chief executive Sandy Crombie received a salary of £1.6m in 2006 while Standard Life Assurance chief executive Trevor Matthews was paid £1.3m.
Outgoing group finance director Alison Reed was paid £492,000 last year but is understood to be in dispute with Standard Life over her compensation package after resigning in October.
Standard Life Remuneration Committee chairman Gerry Grimstone says: “The Standard Life turnaround continued apace in 2006 with improved profits, improved sales and £3.4 billion delivered to former members at the point of flotation following our successful demutualisation.
“I believe this was an exceptional performance and that it is vital to our continued success that the awards to our executive team reflect this. As always our philosophy is to reward good performance and not pay out for bad.”
