Standard Life creates regional tech consultant roles

Standard Life has created five regional technology consultant roles to support advisers using its Adviserzone platform.

The group says the consultants will help advisers use online services to secure business benefits like cost reductions and revenue gains.

Advisers are looking to technology in the run up to RDR as they try to de-risk their businesses, it says.

The support drive will see SL launch technology rooms within each of its five regional business centres, with consultants available to provide face to face and remote support.

SL head of e-business Ross Dunlop says: “The role of the regional technology consultants will be to work mainly with paraplanners and administrators to help raise their awareness and train them so they can maximise the benefits that online services can deliver.”
