Standard Life has appointed Standard Life Wealth chief investment officer Eddy Reynolds to the newly-created role of head of adviser and investment proposition.
He will oversee platform and business support services provided to the UK adviser market, as well as Standard Life’s investment proposition.
Reynolds, who has been with Standard Life since 2010, will report to adviser and investments managing director Richard Charnock.
Former Franklin Templeton Investments regional product strategy director of EMEA Kevin Milne has been appointed to the new role of head of investment proposition. He will work alongside head of platform proposition David Tiller and both will report to Reynolds.
Charnock says: “Our relationship with advisers is key to the success of our business. We want to provide the services and support to help advisers develop their business into profitable and efficient organisations. Eddy’s appointment will develop this strategy and ensure we continue on this journey.
“Eddy’s experience is largely investment-based which is perfectly suited to the job in hand. We can offer an adviser a full suite of product and service options, depending on the type of business and life stage of clients they have. Our investment and platform propositions underpin all of that.”
Reynolds says: “We have a great proposition for advisers and I want to make it even better. Our wrap platform is among the market leaders and our investment proposition has gone from strength to strength in recent years. I believe we can deliver a complete proposition for leading financial advisers and their clients.
“My job is to make the end-to-end process for advisers as straightforward as possible, and help to free them up to spend time with their clients and develop their business as profitably as possible.”
