Standard Life

Standard Life was crowned best personal pension provider, adding to its brace of trophies, including best group pension provider. The life office is no stranger to the honour, having won the award last year as well. CGU took second place and Friends were third. Standard Life assistant general manager (marketing) Colin Ledlie says: &#34As well as the generic factors which influenced the IFAs like financial strength, our personal pensions stand out for their high quality and excellent long-term investment performance.&#34 Friends Provident spokesman Jim Murdoch says: &#34Obviously we are delighted as the award is nominated by IFAs in a major product area. We believe we are offering a very competitive product with a good investment performance. It is evidence that we are recognised by the IFA audience who are a major source of business. It is especially important as we move into the stakeholder era.&#34
