Standard adding Liontrust to funds

Boutique fund manager Liontrust&#39s first large cap fund is among the range of 28 external funds which Standard Life will offer under its new pension proposition from March 15.

Standard is also introducing a new commission model for its pension range, with commission based on the term until the custo-mer&#39s retirement date.

Fourteen external fund managers are being used by Standard, with access to funds such as Fidelity&#39s special situations, Threadneedle&#39s American select growth and JP Morgan Fleming&#39s life global equity funds.

For policies with less than two years to retirement, no commission will be paid. Commission is 6 per cent where there are 25 years to retirement, with a 1.5 per cent clawback if the funds are moved within three years.
