Stakeholder for moderate and high earners says McCartney

Stakeholder pensions are primarily intended for the those with moderate and higher earnings according to the Pensions Minister Ian McCartney.

Responding to written questions from Conservative MP Peter Viggers and Labour MP Mark Lazarowicz about the suitability of the Government&#39s flagship pension, the minister said stakeholder is aimed at those with no occupational pension at the moment.

This message appears to be in direct contradiction to the original target market for stakeholder which has repeatedly been stated to be low to medium earners on salaries between £9,000 to £20,000.
