St James&#39s Place increases business in 2000

St James&#39s Place increased its total new business by 42 per cent to £185m from £130m over 2000, with unit trust sales up by 122 per cent.

Its business figures for 2000 show St James&#39s Place increasing its funds under management by 24 per cent to £5.7bn from £4.6bn, with staff numbers increasing by 8 per cent to 1,050 from 972.

St James&#39s Place group chief executive Mike Wilson says: “We are delighted new business growth exceeded 40 per cent for each quarter. The last quarter was the highest of the year.”
