St James&#39s Place in new business boost

St. James&#39s Place Capital saw a 24 per cent increase in new business in the fourth quarter of 2004. The wealth management group generated a 44 per cent increase in new investment business and a 32 per cent increase in new protection business but suffered an 8 per cent drop in pensions. Its funds under management grew 34 per cent to £7.9bn in the year to December 2003.
