Although it says it is too early for employers to take any action on stakeholder, Aon believes it may be appropriate for employers to consider the eligibility conditions to existing occupational schemes.


Aon Consulting director of research Donald Duval says: “It is important that the Government recognises its responsibility for ensuring that stakeholder pensions work properly, and they should not attempt to palm this off on employers.”
