Sofa launches &#39Find an Adviser&#39

Sofa has launched an on-line service to help consumers locate professionally qualified and specialist IFAs.

The &#39Find an Adviser&#39 web site gives customers access to over 650 IFAs, who must have a minimum qualification of the Advanced Financial Planning Certificate.

Searches for advisers can be carried out by postcode, town or name.

Further selections allows customers to locate advisers with specialist skills, and those who charge on a fee or commission basis.

Consumer Association senior policy researcher Philip Telford says: “We have long campaigned to improve the quality of financial advice given to consumers by all sources. I believe internet services like this mark a milestone in achieving that.”
