Soccer IFA aims to corner the market with flotation

An IFA firm which specialises in advising footballers is floating on the

market this week to raise fundsfor expansion.

Nottingham based Kingsbridge Holdings says it is hoping to raise around

£6.5m through a placing of more than 26 million shares at 25p each on

the Alternative Investment Market. This would value the company at


Kingsbridge says some high-profile footballers and managers have shown an

interest in buying its shares. Dealing was expected to start on the AIM on


The firm claims it has the major market share in advising football players

and may make acquisitions in the field.

Director Eric Cater says: “We can see a lot of opportunities for

developing our business. We are hopingto open new branches in London and

Manchester and Leeds and take on new staff over the next few years. We are

floating to raise the funds for our expansion. We might also look to

acquire one or two other companies in the same field.”
