Smooth running over petrol crisis

I was staggered to hear that many firms predict they will never be able to recoup much of the financial damage caused by the chaos following the petroltax debacle.

If they cannot cope with a small crisis of a few days&#39 standing, they must be running their businesses very badly. I found everything went very smoothly, with a lot of clients coming to see me who I would normally go to, much business done by phone and the appointments where I hadto see people were simply postponed.

I estimate that I have not only not lost any money but very probably done rather better. It only goes to show how inflexible some people are.

I still think the petrol tax should come down substantially but, more important, the diesel to bringus in line with Europe.
