Malcolm Small has joined Tisa as director, portfolio and retirement planning.
The new function includes distribution, including wraps and retirement including pensions, bonds and Sipps.
Small has been involved in a number of initiatives building new businesses in the industry and was recently chairman of the Investment and Life Assurance Group.
The role will include the creation of a distribution council, which will have a wrap committee, and will focus on developing both industry-wide and public policy solutions.
Tisa director general Tony Vine-Lott says: “Malcolm Small joins Tisa at an important time. This new role focused on retirement and portfolio planning is set to support both existing and new Tisa members in this important and expanding part of the tax incentivised savings market.”
Small says: “TISA has shown real public policy leadership in the field of Isas and child trust funds. I am looking forward to helping the association build further capacity as it continues to expand its reach across tax incentivised investing.”
