Skeoch appointed chair of ABI’s investment committee

Standard Life Investments chief executive Keith Skeoch has been appointed as the new chairman of the ABI’s investment committee.

Skeoch was appointed SLI chief executive in 2004 and joined the board of Standard Life plc in 2006.

Skeoch replaces Scottish Widows Investment Partnership head Chris Phillips who died earlier this year on a mountaineering holiday.

Skeoch says: “Chris Phillips was an influential voice in our industry, and I pay tribute particularly to his achievements as Chairman of the ABI’s Investment Committee before his tragic and early death.

“I will now take forward his work, helping to ensure that the industry is fully engaged in the key UK, European and international debates that affect the future of capital markets and our ability to deliver effectively for our customers.”
